Announcing a New Central Resource for Adult Recreational Hockey in the Northwoods

For those who’ve been part of the Northwoods adult recreational hockey community, you’re already familiar with the weekly sign-ups and updates we’ve been sharing. What’s new is that we’re now hosting all of this information on a dedicated page at americanpondhockey.com, making it easier to access and stay informed.

What Does This Resource Offer?

The main goal of this resource is to simplify staying connected with the local hockey scene. Here’s what you’ll find:

  1. Live Attendance Updates
One of the biggest challenges in adult rec hockey is knowing if enough people will show up to play. We’ve introduced a live attendance feature so you can quickly check how many have signed up for each session. It’s all about helping you decide whether it’s worth making the drive each week.

  2. Communication Links
We’ve set up communication channels through GroupMe and a Facebook group to keep everyone on the same page. Whether you’re organizing carpooling, asking about gear, or sharing last-minute updates, these platforms allow for smooth and direct communication among the group.

  3. How to Use It Each Week
Bookmark the page and check in each week for the latest updates. We’ll post the weekly sign-up form there, and you can easily review the live summary to see how attendance is shaping up. We’ll also send out reminders so you don’t miss a session.

Coordinators: Get in Touch

If you’re coordinating other adult hockey programs, like rec leagues or noontime skates, and find it helpful to add your details here, reach out to us. The goal is to build a central resource that keeps everyone connected and informed.

For all details, including the sign-up links and group pages, head over to Northwoods Adult Hockey Resource. If you have any questions or want to add your program, feel free to get in touch.
