We’re excited to announce that Northwoods Adult Hockey (NWAH) is back in action for the season! Our community of players is gearing up for another great winter of hockey across the Northwoods.
Friday Night Skates – Minocqua
🎃 Halloween Skate: Friday, October 31 at 7:30 PM
Regular Schedule: Every Friday at 9:00 PM (no skate on November 14)
Location: Lakeland Hawks Ice Arena, Minocqua
Sunday Skates – Eagle River
Sundays at 6:30 PM at The Cube in Eagle River
Both sessions are drop-in style — no registration, no commitment, just show up and skate.
Northwoods Adult Hockey brings together players who call one of four rinks home: Eagle River, Minocqua, Rhinelander, and Tomahawk — plus a few dedicated skaters who travel from as far as Ironwood. All are welcome!
Beyond our weekly skates, the NWAH platform helps coordinate tournament teams, pickup scrimmages, and other hockey-related events throughout the year. Do you have something to share with our community?

The Aqua Bowl: Becoming a Winter-Long Public Skating Venue
New this year, American Pond Hockey will be maintaining the Aqua Bowl as a public skating space all winter long, in coordination with the Town of Minocqua.
This transformation will create a free, outdoor recreational space for the community — complete with opportunities for open skating, events, and more.
We’re inviting sponsors and supporters to be part of this exciting project as we take on the challenge of turning the Aqua Bowl into a winter centerpiece for Minocqua.
